KVITKA
The world's first play about the famous American coloratura soprano of Ukrainian ethnicity, Kvitka (Kasey) Cisyk. In 1991, Kvitka was diagnosed with breast cancer and doctors predicted a few months to live. She had a little son and a beloved husband and she decided to fight for her life not only with treatment, but also with fruitful work. Love for her distant homeland also gave her inspiration and confidence. In time, the disease receded, but she also continues living an eternal life in song. Her voice has been compared to the voice of a violin, sound flowing from the depths of her soul, endowed with powers that can fascinate and leave no one indifferent. The world premiere of this performance took place on April 4th 2018, on the day of Kvitka Cisyk's 65th birthday.
