Dlouha Street Theater

Dlouha Street Theater was established in 1996, in Prague. It is a repertoire theater with a permanent ensemble. The theater’s repertoire consists of stylistically diverse Czech performances, some of them offering English subtitles. Its focus is mainly on lesser-known titles that have not yet been performed in the Czech Republic and productions often use music, singing, movement, rich light and audiovisual means, resulting in a high degree of energy, which is brought to each performance by all stage components, starting with the actors. Dlouha Street Theater defines itself as a theater that transcends drama towards an alternative, musical, puppet or cabaret genre. It is also dedicated to younger audiences, presenting over 120 performances for children every year.
