Ovčáček Čtveráček
An intriguing cabaret performance from the Zlín Municipal Theater, focusing on a spokesman and his path towards becoming a bizarre hero of his time. The story begins with a scene from his childhood, in which Jiří Ovčáček, as a bright boy, plays a game of chess with himself, and can therefore only ever lose a little and win a little. It continues with his steep career path as a spokesman for the President of the Republic. Through a dizzying array of statements, he manages to defend the indefensible and to work himself up to a Kafkaesque, absurd personality transformation, which brings with it a sinister character development finale claiming his chameleonlike abilities.
