"White Crow" was the first Ukrainian rock opera written by Yuriy Rybchynsky and Hennadiy Tatarchenko back in 1991. The creators of the play invite you to travel back to five hundred years ago, to the terrible and cruel Middle Ages. Reflect on the present with one of the most mysterious women in world history, Joan of Arc, who remains symbolic not only for the French, but also for all peoples who strive for freedom. "Director Taras Mazur has made his version of the story […] ultra-modern. He masterfully combined the three time periods, present, past and future.” (20minut.ua) The musical component of the play is full of familiar rock and roll and swing elements from the 60-80s.
