Prague City Theater

As one of the largest Czech drama theaters, The Prague City Theater (MDP) currently operates on three stages - ABC, Komedie and Rokoko. The repertoire of the ABC Theater includes Czech and international drama, adaptations of classic literary works and also entertaining musical titles. The small stage of the ABC Theater is intended for literary matinees and educational programmes. The Rokoko Theater profiles its dramaturgy as a club stage for modern dramatic forms and intimate forms such as recital and cabaret. The Comedy Theater’s programme consists of project work aimed at younger audiences, as well as performances by resident artists and companies, guest appearances by theaters outside Prague, festivals and international co-productions. The activities of the Prague City Theater include educational programmes for young audiences from primary and secondary schools as well as acting courses, guided tours and popular educational programmes for the general public.
